We make sure we offer the best possible service and have a ‘best price’ guarantee for end of life scrap cars, vans and HGVs and we’ll collect any car in Streatham no matter the condition. Can you pay me in cash for my scrap car?

Due to changes in legislation back in 2013, the law doesn’t allow any scrap metal company to pay you directly in cash for your scrap car in Streatham. However, we can provide immediate payment in the form of a cheque or bank transfer instead, allowing you to draw out the cash shortly afterwards. If you find another company that’s offering you cash for your car, you should think twice before using them as all legitimate companies simply won’t do this.

Fascinating Streatham facts

Although now a bustling suburb of South West London, Streatham was actually a ‘village’ until the 18th century. Due to the growing popularity of its spring, which reportedly had health and healing benefits, the area began to grow in popularity.

The spring was appropriately named Streatham Wells and it began to attract wealthier London folk who started moving into the area in their droves. During the late 1800s, the area around what is today’s Wellfield Road and Sunnyhill Road started to become more densely populated and these two roads are part of the original area of the village and a valuable part of its history.

In fact, Wellfield Road (previously known as Leigham Lane) was actually one of the main routes from the centre of the village to one of Streatham’s wells. Another one was located not too far away in ‘The Rookery’ on the southern side of Streatham Common.
