Can I get cash for my scrap car?

Due to changes in legislation back in 2013, the law doesn’t allow any scrap metal company to pay you directly in cash for your scrap car in Snodland. However, we can provide immediate payment in the form of a cheque or bank transfer instead, allowing you to draw out the cash shortly afterwards. If you find another company that’s offering you cash for your car, you should think twice before using them as all legitimate companies simply won’t do this.

Fascinating Snodland facts

Some people think that Snodland is an odd name for a place; so how did it get its name? Like many places in Kent, Snodland gets a mention in the Domesday Book of 1086. It was then called “Esnoiland”.

However, the area first gets a mention much earlier in a charter drawn up in 838AD wherein its referred to as “Snoddingland”. It states that King Egbert of Wessex gave “four ploughlands in the place called Snoddingland and Holanbeorge” (Holborough) to Beornmod (who was the Bishop of Rochester at the time).

Historically, place names that end with “..ingland” usually get their name from the person who owned the land or was connected to it in some meaningful way – in this case, it would be land that belonged to or was connected to Snodd, or possibly Snodda.
