Why Should I Scrap My Car With Ace?

If you’re thinking, “why should I scrap my car with Ace”, here’s why.

Established in 1978, we have a dedicated team who are professionally trained to understand the legal and environmental aspects of ATFs and ELVs. We make sure we offer the best possible car scrapping service in Greenhithe and have a best price guarantee for end of life scrap cars, vans and HGVs and we’ll collect any car in Greenhithe, regardless of its age or condition. Can I get cash for my scrap car?

Due to changes in legislation back in 2013, the law doesn’t allow any scrap metal company to pay you directly in cash for your scrap car in Greenhithe. However, we can provide immediate payment in the form of a cheque or bank transfer instead, allowing you to draw out the cash shortly afterwards. If you find another company that’s offering you cash for your car, you should think twice before using them as all legitimate companies simply won’t do this.

Fun Greenhithe facts

You may be surprised to learn that Greenhithe was once a tourist resort. It became popular for a time in the Victorian era mainly due to the construction of Greenhithe Pier in 1842. Since Greenhithe isn’t too far from central London by boat, the new pier made it easy for pleasure crafts to land. It was also visited by Queen Victoria in 1863 when she boarded the Royal Yacht (called ‘Victoria and Albert’). Sadly, the pier no longer exists.

Fittingly, the name Greenhithe derives from the Old English spelling of ‘hythe’ which means “landing-place”, hence “a “green landing place”. The Romans called the area “Gretenrsce”.
