Why Should I Scrap My Car With Ace?

If you’re thinking, “why should I scrap my car with Ace”, here’s why.

Established in 1978, we have a dedicated team who are professionally trained and educated on the legal and environmental aspects of ATFs and ELVs. We make sure we offer the best possible service and have a best price guarantee for end of life scrap cars, vans and HGVs and we’ll collect any car in Bexley or Bexleyheath, no matter the condition. We’ll issue you with legal documentation (a Certificate of Destruction) and provide assistance with all of the DVLA paperwork if required. As you’d expect, Ace Car Breakers is Government and DVLA approved.

Can you pay me in cash?

Due to changes in legislation back in 2013, the law doesn’t allow any scrap metal company to pay you directly in cash for your scrap car in Bexleyheath. However, we can provide immediate payment in the form of a cheque or bank transfer instead, allowing you to draw out the cash shortly afterwards. If you find another company that’s offering you cash for your car, you should think twice before using them as all legitimate companies simply won’t do this.

We’re not a scrap car agency and we’re not middlemen, you deal with us directly. As such, we’re able to pay the best price for your scrap car or van in Bexleyheath. Why not fill out the form at the top of the page and see for yourself?

Fascinating Bexleyheath facts

Bexleyheath was largely undeveloped prior to the early 1800s. The population grew steadily throughout the century and after the railway line came to the area in the 1880s, Bexleyheath’s population grew rapidly as it was now quick and easy to commute directly into London. Aside from Danson House and Danson Park, which borders Bexleyheath and Welling, the Bexleyheath area is perhaps most well-known for its Grade 1 listed ‘Red House’, which was the home of designer William Morris and his family for 5 years. Due to financial hardship, Morris had to sell the home he loved dearly and vowed never to return, saying that he couldn’t bear to look at it again because it would be too painful.

Bexleyheath also used to have a windmill which was situated at the junction of Erith Road and Mayplace Road.

Bexleyheath was also once the stomping ground of Bernie Ecclestone, who is perhaps Formula 1’s most famous billionaire. Keen on motorsport, Ecclestone started selling motorcycle spares from a shop in the Broadway and often raced at Brands Hatch before beginning his meteoric rise to power in F1.
